Why is it so popular downhill skiing to see during the Olympics?
I wondered what makes skiing so popular to watch
Because of a knee injury, I've never been able to ski (downhill), and seems so exhilirating to see them come flying through a mountain in complete control. Disasters are so spectacular, and I guess the potential for accidents are a part of the appeal. Not that I watch for accidents, but they happen, and I'm surprised there are so many cases where only gets up and skiing off as nothing happpened. The idea of skiing (slowly!) Through the trees and the slopes is very attractive, I guess partly because it is an impossible dream.
