What is the difference between the Burton Custom and the Burton ICS Custom?

Im looking to buy a Burton Custom but i want to know if there is a big difference between the Burton ICS Custom and just the regular Burton Custom.

Any help here would be greatly appreciated =]

There’s two things to consider here. First, if you buy the ICS Custom, you have to then buy EST bindings, from Burton. If you buy the regular Custom you can use almost anyone’s bindings (most manufacturers’ bindings can be mounted onto a 4-hole board and the Burton 3-hole pattern). The Burton EST bindings are a touch more expensive than the equivalent regular (non-EST) binding. The ICS Custom will also probably be $20 more than the regular Custom.

That being said, if you have the cash, and were going to buy Burton bindings anyway, go for the ICS/EST system. I rode an ICS Custom X with EST bindings on a demo day at a mountain this year, and there’s just no comparison to my regular Burton Custom and Mission bindings that I own. You just feel like your feet are closer to the board, and there’s a good reason for that, they are. I had command of the board that I’ve never felt before. Maybe I’m a sucker but because of that demo I plan to buy an ICS setup at the end of this season when the prices come down.
